Landscape and abstract landscapes from a photo.
These paintings were taken from a photo I took on a farm in Iowa. The photo is on my FaceBook page, you can view it here. I like the "plain" one, but there is something about bright colors that make me happy and being able to use your imagination to create a different scene than what is before you. That's what it's all about.

Crimson Tumult
Part of an abstract series of 6. Trying to get earthy qualities through hue and texture. Like what you might see if you slice open a rock.

Interplanetary
One of my abstract pieces. There's something so "freeing" about doing an abstract- no pressure, no structure, you can do anything you want, use any materials you want, and it's all good.
